30/03/2018 - Press release
In the Rose Garden of Parchi di Nervi, with arrangements dedicated to the four elements
The “Comité des Floralies” is the organizational committee for Floralies Internazionale in Nantes, the first floricultural expo in France, founded in 1956. The event lasts 12 days and involves over 200 exhibitors ranging from professionals to hobbyists, from around the world, selected for their skills, know-how, and a common passion for everything that is landscaping, design, and botany. The Floralies de Nantes take place every five years inside the park, “La Beaujoire”, along the river that Francis I considered to be the most beautiful in France, the Erdre. Hundreds of thousands of visitors are already excitedly awaiting the twelfth edition, “Fleurs à vivre”, planned for 8 to 19 May 2019. Like Euroflora, Le Floralies de Nantes are a part of the AIF -Association of International Floralies, which promotes the beauty and diversity of plants and flowers at an international level. The French event, together with the Dutch, Gand, and Italian, Euroflora, is considered to be one of the most important floricultural events in Europe.
At Euroflora, the “Comité des Floralies” will set up a space in the Roseto, the Rose Garden, overlooking the sea. The arrangements will be inspired by the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. The designers are very young, the plants, in horizontal strips follow the flow of the park, for a spectacle continuing on with the theme of the event.
